Getting through the Holiday season assures those of us in the dental field of two things. There are cases that need to be done quickly and by the end of the year.
For some reason it suddenly dawns on dental patients that they need a "Tune Up" for the holiday season. We need to make them feel confident that all their teeth are healthy, nice, and snug in their proper place. They hope to avoid, at all costs, the dreaded dinner table mishaps.
This parade of emergencies always seems to begin on the Tuesday of thanksgiving week and doesn't end until New Years Eve.
Aside from the frustrations that may come along with the dental industry career, we can be thankful that we are privileged to make our living serving people. We help them stay healthy and feel good about their appearance.
When King Solomon was describing the beauty of his bride to be, he didn't fail to make mention of her teeth. "Thy teeth are as a flock of sheep which go up from the washing, whereof every one beareth twins, and there is not one barren among them.”
So, with that being said, I would like to wish everyone in the dental industry a prosperous New Year as they watch over their flocks like the Good Shepherd.
